“I feel like we’re in a limbo before some sort of revolution happens. It could be worse, but it could also be better.” -- Danny Krivit

For more than three decades, Danny Krivit has been something of a musical beacon, committed to the funky, soulful House course. It is admirable to see the deep respect that he holds for this music that has been a part of his life since his childhood, especially in a world filled to the brim with of-the-moment styles and trends that continually fade in and out of existence. As a witness to Disco’s fall from grace, he has resisted jumping from one bandwagon to another, and avoided the easy money and fast popularity. Above all music must have integrity, and Krivit fears that has now been lost in much of today’s disposable music.

“I feel like we’re in a limbo before some sort of revolution happens,” he muses. “It could be worse, but it could also be better.”

In this very special audio interview, Danny Krivit reflects on his journey as a DJ and Producer, which has included a lion’s share of re-edits, as well as residencies at many of New York City’s landmark clubs and roller-rinks (yes, that’s right!), and seminal parties such as Body and Soul and his current 718 Sessions. Krivit has been one of the most energetic and passionate figures in House music and this is truly essential listening for any music lover!
