What is the future of House music? Do we need to go"back to the future", back to the days of a slower BPM that seemed to allow twice as much emotion to seep into the music? Remember when "tribal" was "house" and"house" was R&B? Remember when House could be dark, without being just plain evil?

As the above questions indicate, U.S.-based music journalist Alex R. Mayer is a man on a mission– to get to the heart and soul of House music. Through extensive conversations and interviews with DJs and Producers, he explores their pursuits and accomplishments in the music industry and seeks out their creative and artistic inspirations.

2004 has been the first year Mayer has worked with JJazProject, and he looks forward to continued conversations and interviews with House music's finest DJs and producers.
