Myles' musical career is the kind of biog any upcoming DJ could wish for. One of four brothers, Myles grew up on electronic music from an early age. His relentless passion for house music led him to take up the wheels of steel, this grew from frequenting clubs in Glasgow such as The Sub Club, The Arches & The Tunnel. Myles' first break was at Mass in London in 2000 – moving onto DJ at The Opium, The Embassy and Pharmacy, playing sets for up to 6 hours. Speaking on his early musical influences "The guys who inspired me include Frankie Knuckles, Frank De Wolf, Masters At Work and Danny Rampling”. Speaking on record labels "I try not to tie myself to any particular label as there is so much good music out there at the moment, however if I were to name them, I guess I would have to mention a few of the big players such as Soulfuric in the US, SwingCity & Defected in the U.K. I also heavily support Muschitunes, King St Records, LookatYou & Africanism, to name but a few - there's a lot of quality house music coming from these stables" Captivated by the scene in London, Myles moved to the capital in '99 and began developing and maturing his DJ style – experimenting with sounds as diverse as deep-house, soulful, Latin grooves and funky house. Myles' uncompromising integrity, unique varied style and dedication to true musicianship have rewarded him with several residencies and guest slots, much to the envy of his peers. Myles' sightings have included Metrogroove @ Turnmills, alongside Danny Rampling and Grand Popo FC. Myles' mixshows also feature on the Muschitunes website as well as getting airplay on Novaradio [Munich / Berlin] and Radio 42 [online]. Pioneering the house sound amidst the glamour (and traditional commercial roots) of London's West End, Myles also promotes his own night ‘Pulse' under the JazzyFunk moniker, playing regular bi-weekly sets in the VIP Room, Café De Paris as well as fulfilling other guest slots at venues throughout the City. Not content to contribute to the scene solely in a DJ capacity, Myles also devotes his time to several websites - writing reviews, chart updates and conducting interviews. His recent endeavours have included a review of Hedkandi @ El Divino and interviews with Danny Rampling, Victor Calderone and Jask. Myles is now planning to take his musical onslaught to a global level with gigs planned in Madrid & Germany, as well as in his native Scotland.
