Scott Wilson has nearly a decade of experience playing venues of all sizes from bars catering for 100 or so people to clubs with a capacity of more than 1500 people.
His career as a DJ started out in the mid nineties in Edinburgh where he supported Jon Mancini, Boney and the Streetrave DJs playing the back room at the now legendary “Rezerection” nights. The next step took Scott to what was then Century 2000 (one of the largest capacity clubs in the city). His sets back then consisted mainly of UK House coupled with more mainstream offerings, very much in keeping with the venues he was playing.
In 1998, following a relocation, Scott began working in Falkirk plying his trade in a few bars on the pre-club circuit before being invited to join the small group of over-worked resident DJs at Behind The Wall , (the largest and most fashionable venue in the town). A change in style followed as Scott's music became more US influenced. It wasn't long at all before the word got out that BTW was the place to go if you wanted to hear soulful and uplifting dance music. Since then he has become a firm fixture, playing there every weekend for just over six years.
2002 saw Scott take up former BTW resident, Dean Serafini's invitation to join him at JJazproJect (US House & Garage Magazine). As part of a small team of dedicated DJs and writers he has kept himself busy writing reviews and his interview credits continue to grow, with Masters At Work and Sandy Rivera amongst the latest in a line of high profile DJs receiving the JJ az treatment.
As for the future, Scott will continue to keep up a healthy schedule of local gigs at more intimate venues, and has offers in the pipeline to guest in London . This along with his work for JJazproJect should certainly keep him busy for a while!!
